(More customer reviews)I've been using water dispensers for a while and some how they all work fine. The problem with them is that they are made out of plastic. No more than a year and you have to start thinking how to replace the dispenser. Having a water dispenser made out of stainless steel secures me that it will run on the middle and long term. I am pretty sure I made a good decision with this dispenser ... works great!

Purified water should be stored in either a glass or stainless steel containers to maintain purity. Until now there has not been a good stainless steel alternative. Dinuba Stainless Steel Water Dispensers are imported from Italy and are made of the highest quality 18/10 stainless steel. Originally used to dispense olive oil this beautifully designed stainless steel container is easy to clean with dish soap. The top, reminiscent of antique milk cans, has a large screw top opening and two handles. The dispenser top can remain closed for dispensing because of the built in screw air vent. The vent allows air in without contamination. The spigot/faucet is a push button type and is a stainless steel fitting, water does not come into contact with any plastic. I have tested (and yes, bought-just ask my wife) well over a dozen various insulated containers for use in the car. No I'm not one of those people who walk around constantly drinking (or hydrating). I use it almost exclusively in my car. It's simple, I want the liquid to stay hot, I want to be able to operate it with one hand, and I don't want it to spill or leak. This is the only product that does that and it does it well. I have given it as a gift to at least a half dozen people and since they are relatives there's no more critical an audience. They agree. Enough said.

I own several Stainless Steel insulated bottles and I find the quality of this bottle to be disappointing. There isn't really anything terribly wrong, it just doesn't have the solid, sturdy "feel" of the other bottles I own (Thinksport, Thermos, Eco Vessel). Time will tell, I suppose, since I haven't owned it long enough to torture test it.
Size is larger than indicated on Amazon's specs (surprising, since they usually list shipping dimensions and product is usually smaller). Bottle is actually 3" at its widest point (height is correct @ 10"). The description says it's 17oz. Paper that came with it says 20oz. Measuring cup I emptied it into said 500ml (16.9oz filled to the top of the spout), so capacity is less than stated.
All in all it's a good bottle, but not great. Metal parts appear high quality. Plastic parts look and feel cheap. The spout you drink from has rough edges and the larger cap material is quite thin. I haven't "drop tested" it yet, but I would not expect it to hold up to the kind of abuse my poor Thinksport bottle has been subjected to (and survived). In addition it seems a bit large for its capacity, it will have trouble fitting in all but the largest cup holders (fits in my Mazda, but not in my friend's Toyota).
Documentation also warns that this bottle is for use with room temperature or cold beverages only. "DO NOT fill with hot liquids!"
Bottle is NOT dishwasher safe, either.
So would I recommend this product? I suppose if you are a fan of Laptop Lunches products you will find this bottle satisfactory. If you are looking for a better insulated stainless steel bottle I would check out the products from Thinksport, Eco Vessel or Thermos.

EarthLust Stainless Steel Water Bottle Review

(More customer reviews)The bottle is mega-cool, which is why I bought it instead of just a plain stainless steel bottle. However, the paint peels off no matter how you wash it. The other poor review for this bottle said that the paint was flaking off from dishwashing it, which is no shock because it SAYS not to put it in the dishwasher in the instructions. I have only washed mine according to the instructions and the paint is coming off as well. I also bought the bird one and the same thing is occurring. Moral: If people are going to sell something with something cool painted on it, they should make sure the paint stays on. And they can because, just to let you know, the "Earthlust" logo which is also painted on is NOT coming off at all. Shows where their priorities are. I am tempted to scratch that part off so I won't be advertising for a crappy product. To be fair. It "works" functionally just fine. But very disappointed with the graphic coming off.
