(More customer reviews)I purchased these after seeing them on the Bodum.com website. I admit the cool factor lured me in.
The cups maintain the temperature of a cappuccino for as long as it takes me to get to the bottom of the cup. Additionally it is nice not to need coasters (especially if you have men or children in the home).
The 9 oz cup is less than 4 inches tall, making it fit perfectly under the fill spout of my super-automatic Saeco espresso machine (which I also love).
My husband and I have had 4 of these cups for more than 6 months and not one of them has broken. I mention this because the 9 oz cups seem to be much more sturdy than the 21 oz Pavina ice tea glasses. We broke one of the 21 oz cups with the first ice cube that went into the cup. We broke 2 others in the first two weeks.
Bottom line, I cannot recommend the 21 oz Pavina. However, the 9 oz Pavina cups are very tough, having survived 6 months of daily use with less than dainty owners. I think you will be very pleased with your purchase of the 9 oz Pavina cups.
UPDATE: JULY 18, 2006
All 4 of the 9 ounce Pavina mugs are still intact even with frequent use. I continue to recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)In my never-ending need to own fancy things, I foolishly bought these glasses when they were first released, for even more than they cost now (although they are still expensive). Folks, please stick with plastic insulated glasses! I know that plastic is tacky, but some things are just more trouble than they are worth. You WILL BREAK these glasses, no matter how hard you try not to, so maybe its a good deal that Amazon is presently offering a deal on them.
In short: these glasses are easier to break than my Riedel Bordeaux glasses (in other words, FRAGILE); the glasses allow water to seep into the small hole on the bottom during hand washing, which is ugly (the tiny hole on the bottom of the glass prevents the glass from cracking due to rapid temperature changes); and dropping ice into the glasses or using too hot or cold a beverage will crack them. The only upside is they look nice for awhile (until water seeps in, or a hair line crack appears).
My first set was crushed in shipment. Amazon had not wrapped it in bubble wrap or anything else, and the Bodum box is severely lacking in built-in protection. Amazon DID ship new ones right away.
Save yourself the trouble of worrying about and dealing with these glasses! Pretty enough for awhile, you will find yourself so worried about ruining these expensive glasses that you will sit them on your shelves and simply stare at them. I really am sorry to say this... I don't give many negative reviews, and I generally like Bodum products.

(More customer reviews)I bought 3 different BPA-free travel tumblers on Amazon last month. This one very good.
All three are all priced within a few dollars of each other, and available for Free Super Saver Shipping and Amazon Prime. I have used them only for ice water and iced tea (black and herbal), and they hold no residual flavors, even with strong teas like peppermint. I cannot vouch for how any of them would fair with smoothies, soda, or coffee drinks.
I'd rank them in this order
BEST: Aladdin Migo Aero 16-Ounce Insulated Water Tumbler with Straw, Purple
Pros: Double wall reduces sweating, stays cold, tight-fit lid, looped top handle makes it easy to carry when my hands are full, lid is domed on the interior, which makes it easy to put on even if it's full and ice cubes are pushed up by the straw, looks very cool, fits in car cup holder, can be left at a 60 degree angle without spilling, eligible for Amazon's 4 for 3 promotion.
Cons: Only 16 ounces are insufficient for a very hot day.
VERY GOOD: 3 Pack of BPA Free 16oz To-Go Double Wall Plastic Tumblers with 6 Reusable Straws
Pros: Double wall reduces sweating, stays cold, look very much like real drinking glasses, lids are very secure, fit in a car cup holder, six straws included for the three cups in the package, 3 cups with 3 different color straws, eligible for Amazon's 4 for 3 promotion, BPA-free.
Cons: Lids are a little more difficult to put on because they are wider, the pink straw and the red straw look similar in dim light causing some bickering between my kids, only 16 ounces are insufficient for a very hot day, I had to go to the manufacturer's website to find out that they are BPA-free.FALLS SHORT: Copco Sierra 24-Ounce Cold Tumbler, Hot Pink
Pros: 24 ounce capacity saves me trips back to the kitchen for refills, silicone band around the middle provides no slip grip, easier to see the color in dim light.
Cons: NOT double-walled so it sweats profusely and feels a lot less sturdy than the other 2, lid is a little more difficult to put on because they are wider, not eligible for the Amazon 4 for 3 promotion.

MiGo 0.5L Senja Bottle Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned this thermos for about one week, and for that week I was decently satisfied with it. It kept my tea hot for hours on end, and was spill proof when completely sealed.
This thermos (as stated by the product description) has a screw top cup and another screw top pouring mechanism that is controlled with a little button. You press the button to open the pouring mechanism and push a little plastic bit on the side to close the mechanism (and the button on top pops back up).
As I said before, it was completely spill proof when it was 'completely sealed,' however, it would drip from the bottom of the pouring screw top whenever I had it open and poured. It was an issue I was willing to deal with, as careful pouring would keep my pants and shirt from being stained. Unfortunately, no amount of screwing or unscrewing the pouring screw top fixed this issue.
However, it prompted me to start browsing Amazon looking for a new thermos. So, about half an hour ago, I was browsing reviews of Thermoses and drinking tea as I did so. I unscrewed my MiGo's pouring screw top to add more liquid, and I heard a disconcerting click. The pouring mechanism broke, and it is now permanently on "pour" mode. The MiGo probably knew I was looking at other Thermoses and broke itself to spite me. Anyways...
So, a week after purchasing, with regular, non-stressful use, my once 3/5 star product has become a 1/5 star product. Again, I never handled this product with any sort of roughness and the pouring mechanism broke simply from using the product the way it was intended.
I am now currently looking for another brand (or in the least, a differently designed pouring mechanism) in earnest.
I hope other purchasers have better luck.

Laptop Lunch 320030 Large Double Wall Stainless Steel 17 fl Ounce Drink Bottle Review

I own several Stainless Steel insulated bottles and I find the quality of this bottle to be disappointing. There isn't really anything terribly wrong, it just doesn't have the solid, sturdy "feel" of the other bottles I own (Thinksport, Thermos, Eco Vessel). Time will tell, I suppose, since I haven't owned it long enough to torture test it.
Size is larger than indicated on Amazon's specs (surprising, since they usually list shipping dimensions and product is usually smaller). Bottle is actually 3" at its widest point (height is correct @ 10"). The description says it's 17oz. Paper that came with it says 20oz. Measuring cup I emptied it into said 500ml (16.9oz filled to the top of the spout), so capacity is less than stated.
All in all it's a good bottle, but not great. Metal parts appear high quality. Plastic parts look and feel cheap. The spout you drink from has rough edges and the larger cap material is quite thin. I haven't "drop tested" it yet, but I would not expect it to hold up to the kind of abuse my poor Thinksport bottle has been subjected to (and survived). In addition it seems a bit large for its capacity, it will have trouble fitting in all but the largest cup holders (fits in my Mazda, but not in my friend's Toyota).
Documentation also warns that this bottle is for use with room temperature or cold beverages only. "DO NOT fill with hot liquids!"
Bottle is NOT dishwasher safe, either.
So would I recommend this product? I suppose if you are a fan of Laptop Lunches products you will find this bottle satisfactory. If you are looking for a better insulated stainless steel bottle I would check out the products from Thinksport, Eco Vessel or Thermos.
