(More customer reviews)A few months ago I received these and the smaller 12.5 oz Luigi glasses. I have to say I love these! They compliment My kitchen so well and look great for whatever occasion. Although I have only had them for a short time I have to say that they seem very durable. I tend to be quite hard on glasses, dishes, and silverware often breaking a lot of them. These have been tipped over more than once and survived the fall. Overall a good buy for your typical water or tea glasses.

(More customer reviews)These are extremely durable glasses as others have already noted. They are heavy and thick. If you were to drop one on the floor, your first concerns would be about your tile and getting your feet out of the way, rather than worrying about the glass. As for the dishwasher, these can be a problem with older machines. They are tall and have a slightly larger diameter rim than other tumblers with similar capacities. This is partially because of the size, but mostly because of the VERY heavy duty construction.
Pricing: These, and other genuine Libbey glasses, are almost always available at dollar stores. We have purchased several in this style with different sizes; most are this size. Regardless, they are there, and they are inexpensive. Be sure to look for the cursive "L" on the bottom or "Libbey". They sometimes have similar glasses that scratch easily, are far less clear, and generally do not hold up as well.
Our glasses still look exceptional after many years of use. We also get people asking where we got them and commenting on how "industrial" they are. If your local dollar store does not have these, they are still well worth the price, especially with free shipping.

(More customer reviews)These are good solid plain drinking glasses, just what I wanted. They are just right for adult hands. They are stable with reasonably thick glass. They were just like I expected and am very pleased with them. We've had them a week and not broken one yet, my last glasses were smaller on the bottom, with thin glass and would tip over in the sink and break.

I kept one for myself since I do a lot of cooking with garlic and onions. I rub my hands with the soap under cold water and all the bad odors disappear like magic from my fingers. It also works for taking the smell away after eating lobster in the shell. The enclosed soap dish is a nice touch and allows us to keep it by the sink all the time. Buy it just for the cool factor!
