No cracks or leaks, and it came with a little collar for the rim of the crock. I use 3 gallon jugs with it, but have also used 5 gallon size jugs. The 3 gallon is just easier for me to lift!

(More customer reviews)this works fine on our counter and holds the 5 gal water jug. it kind of slides only because we have tile. but I am happy with it and we don't have to pay rental to the water company and it's off the floor and in a place on the counter where the jug is out of the way.
